I had a really, really bad day at work today. Nothing I did was right. Everything I touched turned to mud. Okay, maybe not literally but it sure felt like it.
I came home, hubby asked about my day, and I let it all out, and out, and out. And he listened, and listened. Then, when I was done, he said "I'm sorry you had a bad day." No unwanted advice about how to make it better, no platitudes about how "it's not as bad as you think". He listened, and that's what I needed.
Thank you baby, I love you.
