This morning, driving in the car on the way to school, a song from Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou? came on my Ipod - Down to the River to Pray. I love this song, it's very soulful and beautiful. Bridget started complaining and I told her that I liked the song and she'd better not complain through it or I'd play it again.
The lyrics go something like this:
As I went down in the river to pray
Studying about that good old way
And who shall wear the starry crown
Good Lord, show me the way !
O sisters let's go down,
Let's go down, come on down,
O sisters let's go down,
Down in the river to pray.
Then it repeats with small changes about 4 more times.
After the 2nd verse, Bridget groans loudly: "Well that's just great - now I know the words!" and started singing. Mwahahahaha!
