Full Circle

When I originally started this blog, I was tired all the time. I had a six-month-old baby who liked to stay up at night. I would blog while I held her or fed her. It was better than watching TV, which sucks in the middle of the night. Now that she's almost three, the sleep-through-the-night issue is not so big anymore, unless she's sick or it's Wed/Sat morning and the garbage man is in front of the house. ( I think I've mentioned my lack of love for the garbage man here before)

Now, however, I am sleepless again. I stay up so late and it's all my fault but I can't help it - it's books! I'll tell myself "just one more page/chapter" or "just 10 more minutes" but then something exciting will happen and I keep going, and going, and going...

I'm an eight-hour-a-night kinda girl, and for the last few months it's not happening. I'll go to bed at 11:00 or midnight and get up at 5:15 (okay, maybe 5:25) to get ready for work. Every morning I tell myself, "No books - tonight I'm going to bed early" but by the time evening arrives my nose is in the book and I tell myself "Read now, sleep tomorrow".

I had started wondering recently if the title of this blog was no longer appropriate, but on days like today (zzzzzzzzzzzz) I know it still works.

***raising hand... knowing how you feel***
Guilty of the same thing... minus the baby not sleeping... The books, they are addicting! I am telling you, they literally call out my name at night to pick them up... they promise me I can read just one chapter and go to bed... then the hero... starts talking to me... telling me what he has coming up and there goes another chapter, two, three... finish the book at 4 in the morning....
\~/ Here's to a great night of sleep tonight!

You'll get plenty of sleep when you're dead!

Oh cute, I didn't know that's why you started this blog. I do the exact same thing. I should almost just start rating books on how much sleep I lose.
