Hmmm...another post without a title (I'll have to try this at home and see where the problem is - maybe my last title was a little too risque'?)

I stumbled across this article today...comments? This has been a pet peeve of mine for ages, a tip jar is the equivalent of a "can shake" to me, which is the equivalent of begging for money. I know I'm a bit (okay, a lot) cheap (I like to think I'm frugal) but I refuse to succumb. Maybe I should carry a tip jar so they can tip me for doing their job (ie: pushing the cart back to the store when I'm done, checking stock for my size, picking up an item if it's on the floor and putting it on the shelf, etc.). I think it teaches people that if they do a mediocre job they should get a little something extra. Tips are supposed to be for doing something extra, not talking on your cell phone while you're ringing up my purchases.

If you don't deserve a tip, you don't get a tip. That simple. I worked for tips, I know how it goes.

Speaking if pissed, this is the kinda stuff that gets me (YOUR tax dollars are work): http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/05/us/05homeless.html?ex=1184212800&en=415c14b86453a4fc&ei=5070
